The Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect from midnight tonight to 12 PM akst Thursday. A weather front will move over the northern Alaska Panhandle producing snow fall amounts of 3 to 5 inches on Thursday. Snow will then mix with rain as temperatures rise above freezing around midday. A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving. This statement will be updated by 4 am akst Thu morning or sooner if conditions warrant. Bezenek
