Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 11:53 PM MDT on August 19, 2008
The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has extended the
* small stream flood advisory for...
west central Coconino County in north central Arizona...
* until 1215 PM MST Wednesday
* at 1150 PM MST a flood advisory continues for the Supai Village
area and Cataract Creek. Water levels in Cataract Creek were running
above normal today... and reports have not yet indicated that the
creek had receded to safe levels. However... no additional
precipitation fell in the Cataract Creek watershed on Tuesday.
Drier weather is expected for the next few days... and should
allow Cataract Creek to recede significantly.
A flood advisory means river or stream flows are elevated or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
