Statement as of 7:57 am MDT on October 14, 2008 ... Record low temperature set at Grand Junction... At 7:35 this morning, the low temperature in Grand Junction, as measured at the Grand Junction regional Airport, dipped to a final low for the morning of 26 degrees. This sets a new record low for October 14, breaking the previous record of 30, last set in 1986.

	Public Information Statement
Statement as of 1:44 PM MDT on October 14, 2008 ... Record low temperatures this morning... Another morning of unseasonably cold temperatures, with new record lows set at several stations for October 14. Across western Colorado, At Cortez, the low of 20, broke the previous record of 21, from 1986. 4 miles southwest of Craig, the low of 17, broke the previous record of 20, from 1978. At Grand Junction, the low of 26, broke the previous record of 30, from 1986. 6 miles east southeast of Grand Junction, on Orchard Mesa, the low of 28, tied the record low for this date last set in 1997. At Vallecito dam, the low of 17 broke the previous record of 18, from 1975.
