Statement as of 9:50 PM EST on December 01, 2008 ... Low stratus clouds will obscure some hill tops across northern Maine until 2 am EST... A low deck of stratus clouds will produce patchy fog across northern Maine... lowering visibility along some hill sides overnight to locally a quarter to half mile at times. Motorists traveling roadways that traverse up and down hill sides should be alert for rapidly changing visibilities. The stratus deck should disperse very late tonight as winds increase and become a little more westerly... bringing slightly drier air into the region.
