A Fire Weather Watch remains in effect from Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening. This Fire Weather Watch is for the following fire weather zones: 455 - White Pine County 457 - northern Nye County and south of Highway 50 in Lander and Eureka counties Southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph are expected Saturday afternoon as a Pacific cold front approaches the area. Afternoon relative humidity values are expected to be between 10 to 15 percent. In addition... isolated dry thunderstorms are also forecast to develop Saturday afternoon as some subtropical moisture pushes north into central Nevada. Widespread gusty winds... combined with isolated dry thunderstorms and low relative humidities... may produce hazardous fire weather conditions Saturday afternoon. A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag warnings. Jmg
