Statement as of 2:13 PM MST on December 02, 2008 ... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until midnight CST /11 PM MST/ tonight... A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until midnight CST /11 PM MST/ tonight. An area of precipitation will spread east across the advisory area this evening. The precipitation should begin as rain... but then quickly change over to snow as cold air begins infiltrating the region early in the evening. This will be a relatively quick shot of snow... likely ending before midnight. Storm total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches... with locally higher amounts... are expected across the advisory area. A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
