The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls has issued a Winter Weather Advisory... which is in effect from 9 PM this evening to 6 am CST Wednesday.
Snow will develop across southeast South Dakota and southwest Minnesota this evening... and then over northwest Iowa around midnight. A cold front will also move through the area tonight... producing northwest winds of 15 to 25 mph... which may produce some drifting snow. Snow will shift out of the area by tomorrow morning... but not before producing 2 to 4 inches of snow accumulation across the advisory area.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
