Statement as of 3:30 PM CST on December 02, 2008 ... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 5 am MST /6 am CST/ Wednesday... A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow remains in effect until 5 am MST /6 am CST/ Wednesday. Rain and snow will change to snow this evening... and continue through the night with snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches expected. The snowfall is expected to taper off early Wednesday morning. Northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph will result in areas of blowing snow t0night into early Wednesday morning... at times reducing visibility to less than one half mile. In addition... rapidly falling temperatures will freeze already wet roadways. This will create locally icy conditions especially over bridges and untreated roadways. A Winter Weather Advisory means snow... freezing precipitation... strong winds... and cold temperatures will create hazardous conditions. Use caution when outdoors or traveling.
