Lake Effect Snow Advisory
Statement Issued: 10:37 PM EST on December 3, 2008

... Lake effect Snow Advisory remains in effect until 7 am EST
Friday...

A lake effect Snow Advisory remains in effect until 7 am EST
Friday.

Look for lake effect snow showers to become heavier Thursday and
Thursday night. There is the potential for an intense lake effect
snow band... with snowfall rates of 2 inches per hour Thursday
night. Expect overnight snow accumulations to range from 1 to 4
inches. Plan on an additional 4 to 11 inches of snow Thursday
through early Friday morning. Expect the highest amounts from
Twin Lakes to Painesdale.

A lake effect Snow Advisory Means Lake effect snow is forecast
that will make travel difficult in some areas. Lake effect snow
showers typically align themselves in bands and will likely be
intense enough to drop several inches in localized areas. Use
caution when traveling.
