SNOW LIKELY THURSDAY IN DENVER

It will be cold today with highs around 30, but there is only a slight chance of snow. However, 1-3" of snow are likely in the city tomorrow with an even colder high in the mid 20s. After a low near 10 Friday morning, temperatures will warm to the low 40s. The weekend will be much warmer with highs in the low to mid 50s.

ROLLER COASTER TEMPERATURES...Tuesday-Wednesday, December 2-3

Westerly chinook winds heated up Denver on Tuesday, with highs ranging from 69 degrees at Denver International Airport to the low 70s in most city locations. However, the record of 74 set in 1885 held. Even in the bitter cold 1880s, Denver's famous chinook winds could produce some very warm temperatrures in the winter!

Then a cold front moved through last night, dropping temperatures below freezing across most of the metro area by midnight. Good old Denver weather...as goofy as ever!!

November was a warm, dry month for Denver. However, we didn't make it into the top ten warmest or driest. There was almost no snow (except for a dusting on the 14th) until we had 2-4" in most parts of the city Friday night, the 28th.
