I may have resolved my problem today. I hope so. ********************
I am having a horrible time with the cemetery staff where my mother is supposed to interned. Since there is a family plot and my grandparents are already there, I would like to use this cemetery.
I was blown off during two phone calls, told that all I had to do was drop the ashes off the day of and everything would be fine. It had me envisioning a drive-through where you would just pull up and make a deposit.
I insisted on a meeting. I want to see my mother's ashes put into the ground and need to make sure the cemetery would be properly set up. I also wanted to find my grandparents' graves; it's been a while and I'm not sure exactly they are. And I want to know the final cost. period.
When I arrived, the office was closed. I found out why and while I agree the reason was valid, I should have been notified the person would not be able to make it before I drove over an hour just to get there. My husband called the place after talking to me, by that time I was home and in tears.
Tonight I learned through the grapevine, I do have my contacts when necessary, that the "person" I had been dealing with has told his co-workers that everything is fine and in place. I have not been contacted by anyone since I set up the meeting and have signed nothing.
So if anyone has any information about regulations governing cemeteries or any suggestions or any help or any experience with such things, I would appreciate it. I am considering talking to my lawyer and it's occurred to me that these places are overseen by the state licensing board.
Thanks!

I’m trying to create a photo journal of the daily weather, for a year, from my font deck. The daily pic is taken @ 8:30 AM and facing due west. |
