Greetings from High Island.
Progress is slow but "any progress is good". We have a new roof thanks to IKE and a chunk of change from our savings account.
The yard is better but not good and I am still lacking 120' of fence. Birds of Paradise are blooming again (Pics to follow as openings take place)and with a little luck and imagination we plan to decorate the little Norfolk Island Pine in the yard for Christmas.
We have not replaced the window due to a design issue. We have this brainstorm to convert the unused bedroom damaged by the storm with an indoor hot tub room and make a door leading to the patio and backyard where the window was. Sounds like a plan to me.
Our LaCrosse 2308 WS is still on the fritz but the unit is on it's way back to LaCrosse for repairs. I am sending it today even if it will not arrive until Monday AM. It is not doing me any good sitting here on the desk.
It is my hope that the station will return by Jan.1
Till then, "There will be no weather in High Island"....well, there will be "weather" I just won't be able to see exactly what the weather is...:)
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
