1550 8 Aug 2008 Severe Thunderstorm, with pea sized Hail. No discernible wind, heavy rain, much lightning, nothing close by. 3 weeks ago we had a severe storm that had no hail, but lightning did strike across the road from where I was standing, under an umbrella that wasn't really doing me any good. There was 2 inches of rain from that one. On the positive side of the current weather pattern, last year at this time, we were in a drought. .88 inch diameter hail and wind vs. tree damage in Swanzey NH reported be ham radio, and trees on Power lines on Watson Road, 2 miles south of me in Winchester NH.
