Well it's been a long time since I posted a blog of any sort. Things have been busy, Dolly, Gustav and Ike have kept me on the edgy side of life.
The most exciting thing that happened is that Debbie and I were married on August 16th. We planned this thing about a year ago, figured we should make it official with some sort of ceremony. Had a 7 minute ceremony in the Mission Espirutu at Goliad State Park, the one I have pictures of on this website.

I guess you could say we had a "big church" wedding. LOL Familiy and some friends were there, perhaps 25 people, we had a big fish fry afterward. Rented RV spaces and the group dining hall for three days and had an all in all good weekend.
I'm leaving tomorrow, Sept. 23rd to meet Debbie in Paris. She'd flying there as I write this entry. We will spend the next two weeks in western Europe, mostly Germany, but also Austria, The Netherlands, and Belgium. I'm really looking forward to going again, will likely be our last opportunity to do so. My airline tickets are virtually free, purchased with her frequent flyer miles and she is on the return of her hitch in Africa, so her tickets are paid by her employer. Anyway, we're going to enjoy the trip I just know. Plan on soaking up the fascinating architecture, some old breweries, castles and at least one day at Oktoberfest in Munich and at the Louvre museum in Paris. (I'll let y'all know if that Mona Lisa chick is hot or not in real life.)
Best part will be introducing a little Texas culture into the places we visit.I'm not sure if I'll have opportunity to check in here while we are there or not, but hopefully I'll have opportunity to upload a picture or two somewhere along the way. Y'all take care... -mike
