Watches/warnings in effect for southern Ontario...
Severe Thunderstorm Warning for:
=new= Orillia - Lagoon City - Washago
Bancroft - Hastings Highlands - Denbigh
Merrickville-Wolford - kemptville
Ottawa South - Richmond - Metcalfe
Morrisburg - long sault
Winchester - Newington
Plevna - Sharbot Lake - Western Lanark County
Smiths Falls - Perth - Eastern Lanark County
Barry's Bay - killaloe.
At 4:50 PM radar shows strong to severe thunderstorms moving
eastward across portions of the above regions at 50 km/h.
These storms are capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail. Very heavy rainfall is also associated.
This is a warning that severe thunderstorms are imminent or
occurring in these regions. Remember some severe thunderstorms
produce tornadoes..listen for updated warnings. Emergency
management Ontario recommends taking cover immediately when
threatening weather approaches.

thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds.

this afternoon. Some of these storms will have the potential to
become severe with large hail..damaging wind gusts..and torrential
